Direct Billing

No forms, no fuss! Your massage payments just got easier.

We offer direct billing! Next time you arrive for your massage, let Oceana Massage take care of your payments by directly billing your insurance provider.

Got questions? See below for FAQs.

How does direct billing work?

Share with us your insurance provider and your policy number at your next massage appointment and from there we’ll send all bills to your insurance provider on your behalf.

What information does Oceana Massage need from me for direct billing?

We’ll need the following information:

  • Your policy number
  • Your ID/certificate number
  • Your full legal name
  • Your date of birth (DOB)

What if it’s my spouse’s insurance plan?

Then we also need the following information:

  • Your spouse's full legal name and date of birth (DOB)

Is massage therapy covered by my insurance provider?

This depends — most insurance companies cover massage therapy by registered massage therapists (RMTs). However, check with your insurance provider before you try to claim your massage appointment.

How much is covered?

This also depends on the insurance provider and whether you are the primary holder or secondary (partner, family member). Some cover 100% of the cost, while others cover between 60 – 80% on most plans. Any remaining balance can be paid at the end of your appointment. When you're at your appointment, we can tell you how much you saved.

What types of massage are covered under insurance?

All kinds! Since your Oceana Massage is done by an RMT, massages like

  • Lymphatic drainage
  • Prenatal,
  • Stress release,
  • Sports massage
  • And more

are all covered!

Is my insurance accepted by Oceana Massage?

What happens if my insurance doesn’t cover my massage?

This usually means you may have used up all of your available coverage. Please check with your insurance provider how much your coverage is. Once that number is surpassed you will need to pay for your massages out-of-pocket at reception.
