Detox massage can help energize you

How are you? We ask each other this question every day but do you really stop and take stock of how you are really feeling? Are you tired? Sore? Cranky? Chances are your body is suffering a build-up of toxins. Every day we are exposed to toxins in the air, and what we eat or drink. But a special type of massage can detox your system and make you feel better.

Lymphatic massage has been proven to reduce toxins in the body. It can help to ease classic symptoms like headaches, insomnia and fatigue and improve the function of the organs. There are many illnesses that are linked to a build-up of toxins. These include:

  • auto immune diseases
  • multiple sclerosis
  • chronic fatigue syndrome
  • lethargy and muscle fatigue
  • anxiety
  • depression
  • joint pain
  • arthritic changes and more

The lymphatic system is how our bodies eliminate toxins and is responsible for how we absorb food. During a detox massage we use special strokes to help your lymphatic system clear a build-up of dietary toxins produced by stress, dead cells, heavy metals and other excess debris.

A detox massage is not only healthy but quite relaxing. At Oceana Massage, we specialize in Lymphatic Drainage Massage (MLD)  and use gentle rhythmic massage strokes toward your lymph nodes to stimulate your system, clear trapped waste and rid your body of excess fluid.  Our clients find this treatment very relaxing as well as profoundly refreshing.

To help your lymphatic system, you should also drink enough water every day, avoid pollutants, eat as pure a diet as you can, avoid the freeway at rush hour, and use natural cleaning products in your house.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage is best done more than once. We suggest four to 10 treatments no more than a week to 10 days apart for best results.
